This 8" LuxCut III Head features 4 wings of knives with a total of 36 knives. If desired, additional replacement knives and screws can be ordered along (see optional drop-down above!)

New high quality (non Chinese) bearings are included and come pre-installed onto the shafts!

IMPORTANT:

Please note: There are four different cutter heads available for your machine since the machine manufacturer has changed the cutter head over the years.
The original G1018 was built in the US and dates back prior to 1970. These have a 5/8” pulley shaft diameter, but came in two different cutterhead diameters. LUX does not make either of these heads.
Newer models are made in Taiwan and use a generic cutter head which again has been changed in the mid 90’s. The older Taiwan models use a 3/4” imperial sized shaft and newer models use a 19mm metric sized shaft. Lux does not make the 3/4” shaft version.
To see which version you have you will need to measure the diameter on the end of the shaft on the pulley side. To do this you may have to remove the Pulley from the cutter head and you will need an accurate dial or digital caliper.

19mm shaft    - LUX only makes this head (keyway 5mm (0.197") wide)
3/4" shaft        - Use Generic 8 inch head imperial (keyway 0.1875" - 0.1895" wide)

Since 19mm is 0.7480", and 3/4” is 0.750” the difference is only 0.002", it is therefore a good confirmation to also measure the keyways.

5/8” shaft    - Use Old original Grizzly style with 3.000” cutting circle (includes blades)
5/8” shaft    - Use Old original Grizzly style with 3.125” cutting circle (includes blades)

Lux only makes the 19mm Shaft version of this cutterhead.
